President’s Message
By Norm Wingrove
I hope everyone enjoyed the winter and is looking forward to summer. As always, the Directors, the Watershed Action Group (WAG) Committee and the Education Committee have been busy.
The Be The Change film series season five (“BTC5”) finished on April 17 at the historic Gayety Theatre. We had a great line-up of films and the popular fundraiser “Green Beer for a Green Planet” was a great success. We raised over $2,700 each for the Watershed Trust and our two partners, Environment Network and Elephant Thoughts. Thanks to all the hard-working volunteers who made BTC5 such a success.
The WAG Committee continues to be very active; we have many important projects under way as the newsletter shows. Welcome to new member Stella Juhas.
Our thanks to the Newsletter Editorial Team of Eleanor Ward (Chair), Michael Seguin and Stephen Smith for a job well done.
The update of the BMWTF web site continues. Check it out at www.watershedtrust.ca. Please visit our new Facebook page at http:/www.facebook.com/BMwatertrust.
Special thanks to Bill Sloan, our Treasurer. We really appreciate his work and the timely financial statements he provides are a great help in keeping us on track. See Bill’s profile inside.
