What Film: Metamorphosis
Billed as ‘a poem for the planet’, Nova Ami and Velcrow Ripper’s film Metamorphosis takes the pulse of our earth and bears witness to a moment of profound change: the loss of one world and the birth of another. Through a tidal flow of stunning images, Metamorphosis carves a path from the present to the future, and offers a bold new vision for humanity and the world.
There will be a marketplace of local vendors sponsoring the event, and food and drink from the Collingwood Food Coop just down the hall. Enjoy organic popcorn sold by the Collingwood Collegiate Institute’s GAIA (student environmental activists). Between films, enjoy music courtesy of Classical 1029 FM.
To buy tickets ($10 adults, $5 youth, $50 for 6 season tickets), visit The Rock Shop, 179 Hurontario Street, in Collingwood (cash only) or purchase online at www.BeTheChangeFilmSeries.com.
As the socially and environmentally conscious Be The Change Film Series enters its second decade, it turns its attention to local youth. Our youth are the future—they are the ones we need to empower to Be The Change in the world.
