What Film: You Are What You Act
Can you really fake it until you make it? You Are What You Act proposes a potential revolutionary new health trend by asking what influences us more: our minds or our bodies? What has a greater effect: thinking positive or acting positive? Could smiling make you happier? Could changing your posture make you more confident? Could pretending to be in love actually save your relationship? Could Hollywood superstars like Tom Cruise and Jennifer Lawrence actually be more likely to save someone’s life because the do it in their movies?…. Filmmaker Albert Nerenberg answers all of these questions and more by taking us on a journey through interpersonal communication. Leading psychologists in embodied cognition demonstrate fascinating psychological exercises with amazing results. You may be astonished to learn that these same psychological exercises are also used in theatre and performance classes! You Are What You Act is a joyful look at the ways we can train our minds and bodies to surpass the status quo.
