On May 15th , 2016, the fifth annual Feast in the Forest took place at the Kolapore Springs Fish Hatchery in the Kolapore Upland Forest. Theweather was cold and snowy, far from the usual spring weather of previous years, but nevertheless, the event was a great success once again. Hundreds of people turned out and strolled through the woods (and the mud!) sampling delicious treats from local and Toronto chefs, drinking samples from microbreweries and wineries and listening to the local musicians. Sean Brady, owner of Kolapore Springs Fish Hatchery, and organizer of the event, donated the proceeds from “Feast” to Watershed Trust. The money will be spent on our efforts to protect the Silver Creek. Many thanks, Sean.
