Mayor Cooper Wants to Protect the Great Lakes
Sandra Cooper was recently named to the Great Lakes Water Quality Board, a federal appointment. The Great Lakes Water Quality Control Board reports to the International Joint Commission. The board identifies emerging issues and recommends strategies and approaches for preventing and resolving the complex challenges facing the Great Lakes. It is the principal advisor to the IJC in reviewing and assessing progress in implementation of the bi-national agreement for the Great Lakes.
Cooper said she made an application to the board and will not be sitting on the group as mayor of Collingwood.
