Did you know?

Hundreds of Chinook Salmon spawn in Collingwood’s Silver Creek every fall, and thousands of Rainbow Trout do the same every spring?

Come celebrate this incredible migration!

See the Salmon is taking place 10-2 on Saturday, October 1st at the home of Sean Brady, owner, Kolapore Springs Fishery. With hundreds of feet of creek frontage, you can watch these incredible species battle their way upstream to your heart’s content.

See the Salmon is part of the Blue Mountain Watershed Trust Silver Creek Stewardship Initiative, a year-long project made possible thanks to generous grants from Kolapore Springs Fish Hatchery and the Ontario Trillium Foundation. The aim of the project is to protect, preserve and improve the habitat along Silver Creek—south Georgian Bay’s premiere cold water salmon/trout stream—for future generations. This Creek is just as healthy as it was 1,000 years ago—that’s really rare! You’re participation in this event will help to raise awareness for this ecological gem
