Protecting the Niagara Escarpment
The Niagara Escarpment is a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. It is ecologically delicate. It is the source of pure groundwater that forms coldwater fish habitat. And it’s under threat from development and quarrying. {more}
Golf Course Pesticides
Area golf courses apply pesticides, insecticides and fungicides at approximately 5X the rate as area farms. These find their way into our coldwater fish habitats, damaging life. {more}
Silver Creek Wetland
The Provincially Significant Silver Creek Wetland is an area of approximately 450 acres adjacent to Georgian Bay at the west end of Collingwood. It is extremely rich in biodiversity and an important stopover for migratory birds. {more}
